My Room

Updated: Oct. 3, 2000

Quick note: Since I have posted these pictures, there have been some additions that I haven't photographed yet. I have 4 more singles now, "Larger Than Life," "We've Got It Goin' On," "The One," "Show Me The Meaning," and "Shape of My Heart" and I also have the Kevin Shaped CD. In addition, there are quite a bit more magazines, a whole new set of magazine articles (had to get a new folder for 'em and everything), posters and other things such as the Platinum Edition Photocards. I also have two 2000 calendars, two 2001 calendars and another framed picture next to the two behind my door, a bunch more video tapes I taped of BSB, three new concert stubs and a really nice picture of Kevin I bought at the concert...I think that's all for now :)

This is the wall next to my bed. I used to have more wall space to the left of the lamp cord, but I found more posters I liked...and I couldn't bare to just leave them in a magazine or one of my folders...well, you know the rest of the story. LOL. Oh..and that HUGE thing hanging over some of my posters to the top left there, that would be the display for the 2000 calendar. Last year I worked in one of the malls near my home, and there was a calendar store in the mall. Well, I walked in once, and it was like being a kid in a candy store. The first time I saw that thing hanging from the wall, I knew I wanted it. So I asked for it. After having to wait a few weeks, the manager was like, "take it, it's all yours." I walked through the mall with that thing in my hands...and trust me when I say it's BIG. I got some of the weirdest looks that day. But it was worth it. And now it's found it's place on my ceiling because I didn't want it covering up other posters. My mom even helped me pin it up (ain't she sweet) :-)

This is a close up of the right side of the wall next to my bed. As you can see, the Boys are everywhere. LOL. As for the two calendars next to my door, the one on the bottom is the 1999 calendar, and the top one is the 2000 calendar (as if you didn't know that. LOL)

Although these are more updated pictures than the last set I had posted here...I still have more stuff on my walls now then I did back when I took these. Those framed pictures to the right there...well, I have 9 of them now instead of 4.

A close up of the picture I get to see EVERYDAY (well, not anymore...since I go to college now)...I love this picture. My friend from Germany bought it for me over there and sent it to me...Isn't Verena the sweetest person ever??? And the blue and yellow cloth underneath it was hand-made by my grandmother (Oma)..She's the best Oma (German for grandma) that anyone could have. I love that thing and I love meine Oma.

A closer view of the collage I made. And yes, there's a big "D" in the middle, it stands for Deutschland (Germany). The green strip of paper hanging around it is from the second concert I went to, they shot it out of the cannons during the show. And the two blue stickers at the lower right-hand corner were given out the first concert I went to. Notice both concert stubs are also in there (note: it looks slightly different now...if you scroll down to the picture of my wall behind the computer, you can see a big Kevin picture in it - that's from the Sept. 18 concert).

It's my closet!!! LOL, sorry, sorta giddy this morning. Anyway, the poster above the framed picture is new (well, to you guys anyway). The closet door is WAY more swamped with pictures now then when I took this picture. And I have a bunch of posters from teenybopper magazines above the closet too. (I'll take pictures of it when I go home, get them scanned, and post them)

And this is my computer desk (as if you couldn't tell). Although my computer is now in my dorm room, everything else in this picture is still the same with one exception. I have the picture that Nick, Howie and Brian signed on the wall too.

This is 1 of 2 autographs I have from Kevin. A friend of mine got this one for me through a meet and greet and then sent it to me. The other one I have, I got myself in Pennsylvania outside of their hotel.

I can't begin to tell you just how expensive some of these were. And yeah, I know it looks like I have 3 of the same Millennium, but I don't. I'll explain - the first Millennium I bought the day it was released. There was NO way I'd pass that up just to wait for the imports to show up on CDNow.com. Then I bought a $40 import CD because it had two extra songs on it that I didn't have (crazy? yes, I know..oh well). The third Millennium I bought because it came as a packaged deal with a Larger Than Life import CD and a photo booklet. By that point I already had both of the CDs, so I spent $17 on a photo book (in my opinion: VERY much worth it). I have two Backstreet's Back CDs - one has "Missing You" on it, the other doesn't. And I found the one WITH that song afte I had bought the other one from CDnow.com. I also have the import of Backstreet Boys and the U.S. version of Backstreet Boys.

These are my import singles and such. I have the "Show Me The Meaning (of Being Lonely)" and "The One" imports now too. When I took this picture, neither of those CDs were on sale yet.

Those would be the compilation CDs I bought because there was all of ONE Backstreet song on it. I think I've already proved that I'm nuts...why should this surprise you?

In this picture there are 33 video tapes instead of the 27 that I had posted before. However, I actually have 45 video tapes now...dad should never have let me take his VCR. LOL

I have spent a ton of money collecting all of these magazines. I didn't even count how many, cuz...well...I was too lazy. But, as you can see, there's a lot of 'em. I bought most of them strictly for the Backstreet Boys. And I do have WAY more than that now too. :)

Not only do I collect magazines, but I also collect magazine articles. These are all articles from the German magazine, BRAVO, with the exception of two articles from another German magazine. There's somewhere around 35 articles in there...I loved putting it together.

Instead of throwing out all of the posters that I don't have on my walls, I put them in to this folder. Kevin, of course, is on top. That poster used to be on the wall to, but tore loose from the constant slamming of the door.
